However, there is a better way to prepare for exams that involves the ability to study smarter and put more of the information to your memory for later use, instead of discarding it after the person steps out of the classroom.

When it comes to reading your notes, look at the important aspects and read through these. This is where highlighting information comes in handy. Through doing this the person can go through the text, read the highlighted material and get through an entire chapter in a matter of minutes instead of spending hours on information that is not relative to the exam.
With that being said, when preparing for the exam, you will want to study in intervals of twenty minutes at a time. For most people this is the time limit for which their mind will start to wander. Take a ten minute break in between and just relax. You can turn on some music, have a snack or just have a little meditating time. You will find that these little breaks are a great way to make sure that you are pumped for the next session of your studying.
Overall, if you take the time to study for these exams in advance instead of cramming the night before, you will find the information sticks with you. Otherwise, you are going to forget the information and all the studying will not have helped you out in the slightest in the long run. These studying techniques can also be put forth on a daily basis as well to better prepare for exam time.
